On February 21, I introduced the Agricultural and Forestry Haul and Efficiency Act. This is an idea I got from traveling around a district and listening to constituents. This bill helps farmers and loggers feed and fuel this country, reduces cost for farmers and loggers by increasing supply chain efficiency. Specifically, it increases the federal maximum weight allowance from £80,000 to £90,000 on interstate highways for trucks that are hauling agricultural and forest products, ensuring a safer and more efficient transportation system while reducing congestion and fatalities on secondary roads. Today I introduce the Uranium for Efficiency Independence act of 2025, a bill that lists uranium on the United States Geological Survey's Critical Mineral List. Inclusion on the list would open up federal funds and fast track permitting for domestic uranium projects. As a matter of national security, we should not be reliant on foreign adversaries for our critical mineral needs. Uranium plays a vital role in our nation's nuclear capabilities and nuclear energy, but it is not currently designated as a critical mineral. This bill takes an important step towards securing our supply chains, promoting domestic uranium mining, and reducing our reliance on foreign nations. It appeared to be working well when I first signed up months ago. However, within the last 2 months or so it doesn't appear to be working at all. I got numerous political calls just before the election,with none of that nonsense bring blocked, and am still getting calls from some stupid Diane soliciting rug cleaning for which I cannot opt out. What happened to my robocall?
