Good afternoon. This is Sheriff ████████ and I'm calling on behalf of the Petersburg Sheriff's Office to wish you a very happy Mother's Day. Especially to all of our triad senior citizens, the mothers, the grandmothers, and the many selfless women who stand in as mothers to guide, protect and mentor those in their care. Your strength is the bedrock of our community. You are the nurturers, the prayer warriors, and the faithful keepers of our history. We recognize that mothering is not merely a title, but a lifelong commitment of the heart. Whether you are celebrating with family today or being honored by the many lives you have touched through your kindness, please know that your love and sacrifices have not gone unnoticed. As we celebrate, we also hold a sacred space in our hearts for those mothers who are being celebrated in heaven. Though they are no longer with us in person, their legacy of love, their whispered prayers, and their enduring wisdom continue to guide us every day. We find comfort in knowing they are at rest in the arms of our Lord, watching over us with eternal love. To those of you missing a mother today, may God's grace provide you with a peace that surpasses all understanding. We honor the memory of those gone before us and celebrate those of you hearts who are still with us today. And we recognize the everlasting impact you all have left on our community.
