Please stay on the line and we'll get started here shortly. Good evening. My name is Yt Bell and welcome to the get out the vote. I've got five on it Teletown hall, brought to you by the Southern Poverty Law center of Georgia and the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia through the Ive got five on it campaign, the Southern Poverty Law Center. Georgia is a 501 organization that is a catalyst for racial justice in the south and beyond, where offices in Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana, where we focus on eradicating poverty, dismantling white supremacy, strengthen democracy and de incarceration to advance the human rights of all people. We have a few special guests joining us this evening from ACLU of Georgia and one of the youngest city council members to ever serve in the city of Camilla, Georgia. First, we have the executive director of the ACLU of Georgia, Andrea Young, and she will tell you more about herself and how she has been able to transform the ACLU since she became the executive director over seven years ago. Todays discussion will focus on key issues affecting Georgians like healthcare, education, access to the ballot, while also acknowledging the threats and the need to stay vigilant as we approach election day and not only plan to vote, but urge your friends and family members to work with you if youre able and become a poll worker to ensure fair elections are held across the state. In a moment, you'll hear from all of our guests on what's at stake and why it's so important to vote in on or before election day on November 5 from the top to the bottom of the ballot.
