  • Transcript Good evening, this is Jarrett Clark with for our Future education Fund calling to welcome you to our voting in 2024. Telephone Town hall in a few moments, you'll be connected to the meeting. You might hear music while we wait for others to join us, but stay on the line and we'll start the meeting shortly. If for any reason you get disconnected from the call and would like to call back in, simply dial 702-551-3063 again, that's 702-551-3063 talk to you soon. This has been paid for by for our future education fund. Safe, secure, and accessible elections for all eligible voters as we know, a lot has changed since the last statewide election in 2022. Nevada's population is clearly growing and nearly 25% of all Nevada voters this year are new voters. So it's important that we are all informed about our voting options and make sure that we exercise our right to vote. And thankfully, voting in Nevada has never been easier. As you may know, in 2021, the Nevada legislature passed a law permanently expanding vote by mail and access to the ballot box. Under Nevada's law AB 321, every active registered voter in the state will now be automatically sent a mail in ballot unless they explicitly opt out. So if you're an active registered voter, you should have received your ballot in the mail in the last few weeks. Also under this law, Nevada voters are able to simply send their completed ballots back through the mail to be counted. They can drop them off in a secure ballot Dropbox, or they can surrender their mail in ballot and vote in person at a county voting center of their choosing. Like I said, voting in Nevada has never been easier. So we are hosting this telephone town hall to talk about our state's voting and election procedures and answer your questions about participating in the general election being held on November 5. I repeat, election day is November 5. So if you have a question at any time during our discussion tonight, please press zero to raise your hand and ask your question. During tonight's town hall, you'll be hearing from some of our special guests, which include representatives from organizations that are working year round to ensure that Nevadans can make their voices heard and exercise their right to vote. Again, if at any time during this town hall you've got a question about voting or Nevada's election procedures, please raise your hand by pressing the number zero on your phone. Again. Just press zero if you want to ask a question at any time during this call tonight. Now we want to make this discussion interactive, so I'm going to poll everyone listening on tonight's call with a few simple questions throughout the town hall. So here is my first poll question for practice. And that question is, have you ever voted in an election in Nevada? Press one for yes, press two for no. I want to give you all a few seconds to respond, so please do so now. Again, press one if you have voted in an election here in Nevada, and press two if you have never.

Just last week, 8,275 people got Nomorobo protection!

It is the greatest thing. I smile every time the phone rings once and stops. Love it.

One ring and then... nothing? Ha! I know that that was Nomorobo doing its thing - and I smile. Thanks, Nomorobo.

Really good

I have Time Warner Digital Phone and several friends, also TWC Digital Phone subscribers, had a problem calling me. They said my phone would ring once or twice and then hangup. I had to disable Nomorobo. I was very pleased with Nomorobo and would activate again if you could resolve my TWC issue.

Not perfect but helps a lot. The phone rings only once and that's it. I don't have to stop what I'm doing to listen if it's a valid call.Big annoyance saver!

You have no idea the amount of calls we used to get. The "do not call" list was a waste of time. Then I heard about Nomorobo. It has been outstanding. I counted 17 calls in a 5 day period. We get one ring, then nothing! Keep up the good work. ( it's a shame you can't get rid of the political calls) never met anyone who changed their vote after an annoying phone call.

It is great! Thank you soooo much. Some days 5 or 6 calls are blocked. And blocking the one digit number was amazing! Thank you for peace and quiet.

We've been with you almost since the beginning and we love the "single ring calls", always waiting to see if there is a second ring before we get off our duffs. We recommend you to everyone we know and have had several friends thanking us for the referral.
