The fire is located entirely within McDowell county and the fire is currently burning on U.S. forest Service land. Being fueled by dry conditions and windy conditions, the fire and smoke will become visible from the city of Morganton and points west. Residents and visitors are encouraged to monitor McDowell County Emergency Management and the U.S. forest Service for official fire updates and any changes in conditions. Currently, there is no threat to homes in Burke County. We will continue coordinating with our partners and provide updates as necessary. It's a great program and certainly alleviates, to a degree, some of the pains of crank calls. I';m sure you are aware the fed " do not call "system seems to be broken because it does not handle these calls as it should. Good luck and thanks for being a group concerned with spam calls.
