- Transcript Good evening, residents of the great city of Ansonia. This is Mayor David Cassetti calling to clarify the upcoming budget process. The first public hearing in next year's proposed city budget will take place this Monday night, April 21st at 6:30pm the hearing will take place remotely on Zoom with access information now online@cityofansonia.com along with a copy of the proposed budget for your review. The current budget proposal represents a 1.8% spending increase on the city side and a 5% plus increase on our schools. Mark your calendars for Friday, April 25, when it will be holding a public referendum on both the city and the Board of Education budgets. Voting will take place from 6am until 8pm at the Ansonia Armory. So to recap, a public hearing on a budget Monday the 21st, followed by a referendum on the city and Board of Education budgets on Friday the 25th. Remember to visit the city website and Facebook page for more information on both. Thank you and God bless you all. To repeat this message, press any key now.

Just last week, 8,269 people got Nomorobo protection!

It's an ok service although it hasn't been as effective as advertised. It is only blocking 50% of the calls to my landline. I guess that's an improvement but not what I expected. Some of the numbers that get through are listed as "private" - that is, no caller id information is given. These calls should be blocked too. If there's no caller id info the call should be blocked.

I think it has helped, but quite a few numbers (including Gallup) get through with a single ring, which is less annoying than talking to them, but very annoying, nonetheless because these callers tend to call every day. I suspect this has something to do with the fact that I use Vonage SimulRing to call my home and cell at the same time, but I'm not sure. I've learned that reporting a problem has no effect (but, heck, you're offering a free service, so ...), which I why I didn't bother.Of course, the 2014 political campaign season was still unbearable, and I don't look forward to 2016, but I think your service is a great help, and I appreciate it.

Wow... no longer have to stand up to answer phone at dinner time! and hike up or down stairs to catch an unwanted call.

Very effective. It brings me a small joy every time I hear the phone ring just once. I know Nomorobo just blocked another one! Thanks for a great service.
