And is Vice Chair of the Environment Committee. Senator Hockadel is also a member of the Banking Committee, Housing Committee and Public Health Committee. Once again, if you would like to ask State Senator Jan Hockadel a question, please press zero now. Senator Hockadel, good evening everyone and thank you for joining my first teletown hall of this session. I'm so glad to be with you tonight. I'd first like to just start off by answering a couple questions that I have been getting periodically in my email. So I have a feeling they're on folks minds. And one of them of course is the budget. And just a little bit about the process before we begin. As most people know, the Governor came out with his budget and now what's happening during the session is the Finance committees, the Appropriations committees, they're listening to everybody that is asking for money if you will, and they're taking all of that information. And as we get later in the session, the folks in the Appropriations Committee, the folks in both the leadership of the House and of the Senate will sit down with the Governor's folks and negotiate hopefully a budget that works for everyone. So just a little bit, three things that are really affecting this year's budget making process is there's no more ARPA funds or federal money that we had coming in during COVID that was used for last year's budget. And we're also.

I still laugh out loud when the robocalls get blocked after one ring. What a great way to block the shameless scammers who were driving me nuts.

Best thing to come along in years. I enjoy the sound of the single ring. I'd even pay a small fee.
